Periodontal disease including gingivitis and periodontitis is a plaque-induced pathology and is a serious health problem. It produces pain and inflammation and decrease food intake in both human and companion animals [1-4].In cats, multiple dental extractions are commonly required for treatment and the procedure can be invasive and painful.
